    Doppio Titolo - Double Degree

An International Program Leading to a Double Degree

    IT | EN | ES

Starting from the 2016/2017 academic year, students enrolled in the Master’s Degree in Law at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” have been offered a significant new opportunity for academic, professional, and cultural enrichment. Based on international agreements established with partner universities abroad, students who choose this track can obtain a Double Degree — namely, the Master’s Degree in Law (Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza) awarded by their home university, and the equivalent degree awarded by the partner university abroad.

Double Degree programs are based on the mutual recognition of educational activities completed at both institutions and on the integration of further activities through a structured mobility period. Specifically, Double Degree programs within the Department of Law are structured as follows:

Years 1–3: Students complete the first three years of study at their home university.

Mobility Period: Students spend the following three consecutive semesters at the partner university abroad.

Final Semester: Students return to their home university for the final semester to defend their Master’s dissertation. The dissertation is developed under the joint supervision of a professor from the home university and a professor from the host institution.

In addition to receiving both an Italian and a foreign degree upon completion, students participating in Double Degree programs benefit from:

    • Tuition Fee Waiver: Exemption from tuition fees at the host university.
    • Tailored Curriculum: A dedicated study plan defined by the international agreement.
    • Dedicated Support: Academic guidance from Double Degree coordinators at both the home and partner universities.
    • Financial Support: Access to grants and funding for Double Degree mobility.

For the 2025/2026 academic year, Double Degree agreements are active with the following institutions:

    • University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain)
    • University of Murcia (Spain)
    • University of São Caetano do Sul (Brazil)

    Accordo Doppio Titolo Vanvitelli-UCLM

    Accordo Doppio Titolo Vanvitelli-Murcia

Accordo Doppio Titolo Vanvitelli-San Caetano do sul Brasile

Students opting for study plans in partnership with the Spanish Universities of Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia will obtain the Spanish degree required for direct access to the Master en Abogacía. This qualification is necessary to access legal professions, with a professional recognition valid throughout the EU.
